Issue
| Public Utilities has three engineering contracts for work as needed. The contracts are for one year and we are coming to the end of the year for each of these contracts. Provisions in the contract allow for four one year renewal. We are currently in the first one year renewal and I am requesting a second one year renewal for each of the firms under contract.

Recommendation
| Renew the Engineering Contracts for an additional one year period as allowed in the contract

Discussion
| Public Utilities typically keeps three consulting engineers on annual contracts for work as needed. Most projects which are from our Capital Improvement Program approved by the Board. Some additional functions include groundwater modeling for permit renewals, as well as our Virginia Pollution Elimination Discharge System Permit for Parham Landing WWTP permit renewal All three firms currently under contract have performed well and deserve renewal of heir contracts for another year
